Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Rashid Latif has opened up about Mohammad Hafeez and the controversies surrounding his decision to suddenly retire.
Latif opposed the opinion that Hafeez was somehow forced to announce his retirement, he explained while speaking on PTV Sports.
"Body language reveals everything. If you look at Hafeez’s press conference and the way he spoke, it was clear that it was his decision to retire. He was not doing that under pressure," said Latif.

The 53-year-old further gave his insight on the relationship between Hafeez and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
"This [mutual understanding] was a good gesture by the PCB and Hafeez. They were always considered as tracks that run side-by-side but will never meet. However, in the end, they did meet," added Latif.
Hafeez announced his retirement earlier this week which put an end to an 18-year illustrious career. Hafeez represented Pakistan in 392 matches across all formats, scoring 12,780 runs and picking up 253 wickets.
