Nottinghamshire's Shaheen Afridi showcased a brilliant all-round performance as his team secured a thrilling three-wicket victory over Derbyshire on Friday at County Ground, Derby.
In a dominant display of bowling, Afridi proved to be the key figure in consistently dismantling the Derbyshire batting lineup.

The left-arm pacer claimed his first wicket as he dismissed Brooke Guest for 25 and later on claimed the second wicket of Tom Wood, who managed to score only 4 runs.
With a notable contribution, having ended with the figures of 2/37 runs in the allotted four overs, the 23-year-old played a pivotal role in restricting Derbyshire to a score of 142/6 wickets in the 20 overs.
During the chase, Nottinghamshire's Alex Hales (35) and Sumit Patel (28) showcased exemplary batting skills.
Struggling at 123/6 in the 17th over, the team received a valuable contribution from Afridi as he played a brilliant cameo of 14 runs off just seven deliveries, which included two sixes.
Afridi's heroics at the crease brought Nottinghamshire closer to their target. Although Zaman Khan managed to claim Afridi's wicket, it came too late for Derbyshire as they succumbed to defeat.
Earlier, after being asked to bat first, Derbyshire managed to post a decent total of 142/6 in the first innings. Haider Ali stood out with an outstanding knock of 42 runs off 37 deliveries, which included three fours and a six.
