Bangladesh’s all-rounder Shakibal Hasan, who is currently serving a two year ban for failing to report corrupt approaches from a bookie, claimed that Bangladesh could expect good results against Pakistan in their upcoming tour while reminding fans of the Men in Green’s lacklustre performances in their last Twenty20 International (T20I) series at home.
The banned all-rounder, while attending an event at the Daily Star premises, wished the Bangladesh team a safe journey.
“I hope that everyone travels safely and return after a good series with success for Bangladesh,” Shakib said. “Sri Lanka recently won the T20 series 3-0 against Pakistan so we should get a good result too.”

Shakib stated that he missed playing cricket because of his prolonged involvement with the sport.
“When you are involved with something, whether you like it or not, you will miss it when it’s gone and it’s normal. It’s no different for me,” he said.
The Bangladesh team is expected to arrive in Pakistan today. The two teams will face-off in three T20Is from January 24 to January 27.
Shakib was banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) from all forms of cricket for two years in October last year, with one year of that suspended, after he accepted three charges of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code.
The all-rounder will be allowed to resume international cricket on October 29, 2020, provided he meets the conditions in the suspended part of his sanction.
