Pakistan’s leg-spinner Zahid Mehmood has been ruled out of the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe after exposure to extreme heat during the ongoing training camp in Lahore.
He was immediately provided treatment, which improved Zahid’s condition, but his departure has been delayed as a precaution. He will now travel to Zimbabwe, with the Test squad, on April 21 instead of tomorrow.
Earlier, the wrist spinner had been named as Shadab Khan’s replacement for the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, which will be played from April 21-25 in Harare.
