Former chairman presented the details of MoU signed between PCB and BCCI

Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi appeared as a witness and recorded his statement in the $70 million compensation case against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday.
PCB and BCCI are involved in a legal battle over the non-honouring of the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both boards.
According to the MoU, which was signed in 2014 at the time of the formation of ‘Big Three’, the arch-rivals were to play six bilateral series, four of which were to be hosted by Pakistan.
However, not even a single series was materialised as BCCI claimed that they could not get the required approval from the Indian government.
After that, PCB filed a complaint against BCCI and to settle the dispute, the International Cricket Council (ICC) formed a three-member Dispute Panel, who is conducting the hearing of the case in Dubai.
According to the Daily Express, Sethi and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Subhan Ahmed appeared as a witness for the PCB while Ratnakar Shetty represented BCCI in the hearing.
The source confirmed that Sethi provided details about the MoU signed between BCCI and PCB.
Following Sethi’s arguments, the hearing was adjourned till Tuesday, where the BCCI will reply to Sethi’s arguments.
