There are two things on the agenda for Pakistan cricket team fans; one is the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) whereas the other is Australia's tour of Pakistan.

Speaking in an exclusive interview ahead of the HBL PSL 7, Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz said that Australia must send their full-strength squad for the tour.

"England and Australia should send their actual specialist team, which also featured in recently concluded T20 World Cup, to Pakistan," Wahab said.

"This has been a common theme in recent times; whenever we go to play somewhere or if teams come to Pakistan, they are never the full-strength teams," added Wahab.

Speaking about it, the left-arm pacer added that this is not necessarily a bad thing either but it does hinder the progress of youngsters as they don't get to face quality players.

"Since these tours are still competitive cricket, facing weaker teams does give you an advantage. However, it also becomes a problem because then our players are not used to facing full strength teams and our learning curve is hindered," the Peshawar captain explained.

Admiring the PSL as a brand, Wahab said: "HBL PSL, like always, is going to provide us with the platform which enables players like myself who are trying to get back in the team."
