Leg spinner Shadab Khan, who delivered one of the best performances in a T20 World Cup semifinal against Australia, has revealed that he is working on adding new varieties to his bowling armory.
Referred to as "pure gold" by Wasim Akram and Dean Jones when they first saw him, Shadab has quickly made a mark on the global stage since his introduction.
Shadab already has a world-renowned googly as he makes use of it very often, sometimes perhaps more than he should. However, a good flipper and a slider are still missing in action.

Working in training with the inventor of doosra himself, Saqlain Mushtaq, Shadab took it to Twitter to inform:
"Working hard on completing my bowling action each time. Feels good to be fully fit. Developing a few new tricks in training, hopefully with time and practice will be able to execute them in matches."

Shadab has always been a good learner and has adapted well to change. In an interview with Associated Press in 2017, the 23-year-old revealed that he started off as a fast bowler but transitioned into a spinner.
"When I started playing club cricket I used to be a fast bowler," Shadab said. "But then our president of the club told me to start bowling leg-spin and I started working hard on this art."
