Fawad revealed that he was in the stands when Australia last toured Pakistan in 1998 and now he will play against them

Pakistan middle-order batter Fawad Alam is upbeat ahead of the historic home series against Australia, starting from March 4 in Rawalpindi.
The 36-year-old was part of the camp that took place in Karachi to prepare for the long-awaited Australia series. While talking to reporters, Fawad refrained from disclosing strategy for the Aussies.

"Australia is a strong team and we will try to perform well against them, I can not share the strategy that we prepared for the Australian team but our training camp was spot on where we did some match-scenario practices," he added.
"We have plans to tackle Australia on our home soil but if I cannot reveal the strategy. We will plan according to condition, our combination is very good, The spinners and fast bowlers are in a good rhythm. We hope to play the series well and win," he added.
Meanwhile, Fawad revealed that he was in the stands when Australia last toured Pakistan in 1998 and now he will play against them.
"The last time when Australia toured Pakistan I was in the stands as a spectator, I am happy to be part of the team that will compete against them this time."
Fawad also hailed the importance of having a batting coach like Mohammad Yousuf and termed it as a big advantage for them.
"He is one of the finest batsmen of his time and him being part of the dressing room as a batting coach is a big advantage for us," he added.
While answering about the class of skipper Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, Fawad said: "They are world-class players, players like us can not even come close to their calibre. We learn a lot from them."
He concluded by requesting fans to pray for the Pakistan team’s success.
