This is Hafeez's third franchise team, as he has joined Quetta Gladiators and will play under Sarfaraz Ahmed's captaincy

The 42-year-old has replaced Ahsan Ali in the squad, who recently got injured during the practice session.
Previously, Pakistan’s former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed hit back at veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez after the latter’s remarks about wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan.
A few months back, Hafeez praised Rizwan but also stated that the latter was not considered Pakistan’s number one wicketkeeper-batsman despite good performances.
Replying to Hafeez, Sarfaraz said that “whoever has played for Pakistan has always been number one for the country and “respected accordingly.”
Hafeez bhai Sb, whoever has played for Pakistan from Imtiaz Ahmed, Wasim Bari, Tasleem Arif to Saleem Yousuf and from Moin Khan, Rashid Latif to Kamran Akmal and even Rizwan right now has always been number ONE for the country and have been respected accordingly. https://t.co/dF7BScOurl

Aur ayende bhee jisko bhee chance milega wo Pakistan ke liye number ONE hee huga. We expect nothing but positiveness coming from an international player who has played so many games for Pakistan. #JustSaying🙏🏼
