The national team's fitness camp for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand commenced at the Kakul Academy in Abbottabad on Tuesday.

In the first session, a total of twenty-five players took part, while the medical team conducted comprehensive examinations for each player.

According to sources, Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, and Iftikhar Ahmed are expected to join the camp on Wednesday after returning from Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, fast bowler Mohammad Amir is set to arrive at the academy today. 

Dr. Sohail Saleem, head of the PCB medical commission, along with physio Cliffe Deacon and trainer, are overseeing the fitness camp. Army trainers are also contributing to improving the players' fitness.

The training camp is scheduled to conclude on April 8, just before the Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Blackcaps will land in Islamabad on April 14 and are scheduled to play three T20Is at Rawalpindi's Pindi Cricket Stadium on April 18, 20, and 21. Following these matches, the teams will move to Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium for the final two T20Is on April 25 and 27.
