Pakistan pacer Mohammad Hasnain expressed his gratitude towards Shoaib Akhtar for speaking up regarding an incident surrounding him and Marcus Stoinis during a The Hundred fixture.

The Australian power-hitter showcased an unsportsmanlike example when Southern Brave took on Oval Incibles in the 14th match of The Hundred at The Oval.

After surrendering his wicket to Mohammad Hasnain, Stoinis made the gesture that the Pakistani pacer chucked the ball. This gesture of Stoinis prompted a response from Shoaib Akhtar who labelled it as a "shameful gesture" and mocked the ICC for taking a backseat on the matter.

The youngster publicly appreciated Akhtar's support and said, "Thank you Shoaib bhai for supporting me."

The Rawalpindi Express had earlier claimed that how dare Marcus Stoinis do such a thing and added that Hasnain's action had already been cleared by the ICC so no objection should have been made in the first place.

"Shameful gesture by Stoinis regarding bowling action of Hasnain during The Hundred 2022. How dare you do such things?? Of course, ICC stays quiet about them. No player should be allowed to do such things if someone’s been cleared already,” Akhtar wrote on Twitter.
