Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play the least number of Test matches
The International Cricket Council (ICC) Test Championship began from August 1, when Australia took on England in the first Ashes Test at Edgbaston. With the introduction of the ICC Test championship, every Test series now have context, which was the need of the hour to lift the profile of Test cricket.
The top nine ranked Test nations are part of this Test Championship, which will be played over a two-year cycle with the final to take place in England in June, 2021.
During this two-year cycle, each team will play six series, with three at home and three away. This means that each team will not face a couple of teams in this championship. Pakistan and India will not face each other in this championship unless both reach the final.
