Former cricketer Inzamamul Haq has slammed Pakistan head coach-cum-chief selector Misbahul Haq’s antics in the dressing room during the second Twenty20 International (T20I) between the Men in Green and England at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Misbah was visibly animated whenever the camera panned towards him during the England innings. At one point, he got so upset that he ran off to the balcony to pass some instructions from there to the captain Babar Azam.

The aforementioned display didn’t go down well with Inzamam, as he believes it could demoralise the players.

"During the fifth over of England innings, the camera showed Misbah and he had his hands on his head, which suggested that something really bad had happened. You are giving a wrong message by doing these things. If you respond like this during the match, then this will have a bad effect on the team," said Inzamam on his YouTube channel.

"Mickey Arthur used to respond in the same way. Whenever I used to talk to players, they used to complain that Arthur’s similar antics affected them negatively. No matter what happens during the match, only positive vibes should go from the dressing room," he added.

The commentator during the England innings, Rob Key, also noticed similarities between Misbah and former Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur.

"Misbah doesn't look too happy. He looks like Mickey Arthur when Misbah was captain," said Key.

England won the match by five wickets after successfully chasing 196-run target, courtesy of brilliant half-centuries by Dawid Malan and captain Eoin Morgan.
