The elections for the chairman were supposed to be held on June 27 at the PCB headquarters in Lahore. But, stay orders from multiple courts, including the Balochistan High Court, postponed the election.

However, after hearing all the arguments, Justice Anwar Hussain from Lahore High Court withdrew the injunction against the election of the Chairman PCB on Monday.

The petitioner said that the Board of Governors (BoG) formed with the approval of the Management Committee was removed from the posts by the PCB Election Commissioner. The PCB Election Commissioner took an unconstitutional step, declared the notification of the Board of Governors null and void, and formed a new Board of Governors illegally.

The petitioner requested that the initiative of the PCB Election Commissioner to form a new Board of Governors should be declared unconstitutional, and PCB elections should be stopped until the court's decision.

Justice Anwar Hussain sent the file to the Chief Justice recommending consolidation of all petitions against the election of Chairman PCB.
