Before leaving for London on Friday, Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and her husband, Asser Malik, met with the Pakistan women's cricket squad and the U-19 women's team.

Malala wished the athletes luck on their next endeavors, particularly the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Malala inspired the participants to believe in their skills, keep training, and take full advantage of the game.
She continued by advising the players always to embrace obstacles since victory always lies beyond difficulties and obstacles.
Malik claimed that they both enjoy watching cricket and do so frequently. He stated that they would try to attend the women's World Cup games.
The players gave Malala a blazer from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and a signed T-shirt.
