The Islamabad United franchise of the Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Super League (PSL) announced on Tuesday that New Zealand’s opening batsman Colin Munro will be joining their side for the remaining matches of the postponed tournament.

The franchise made the announcement on the social media platform Twitter. 

“We are delighted to announce that Colin Munro will be joining Islamabad United for the remaining PSL 6 games,” Islamabad United’s tweet read.

The explosive opener could not participate earlier in the tournament due to the border restrictions in his native country during the current coronavirus pandemic.

Munro has featured in 57 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 65 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for New Zealand scoring 1271 runs and 1724 runs respectively in each format.
