Pakistan middle-order batter Iftikhar Ahmed has opened up after his brilliant performance against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in T20 World Cup.

The 32-year-old scored a brilliant half-century, scoring 51 off 34 balls which included four sixes and two fours. Speaking to the media after India's defeat by four wickets, Iftikhar said that the Pakistan-India match has always been challenging, which is cricket's beauty.

"I don't think there was any shortage from our part; India got good momentum. You have to give credit to Virat Kohli; he played brilliantly," he said.

Meanwhile, Iftikhar responded to his critics who always point out figures at him. "My performance is not as bad as people point fingers at me. Those who talk negatively, I take positive out of it."
