The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is looking to fill the empty spaces in Men in Green’s schedule after the postponement of this year’s Asia Cup and T20 World Cup due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan has said that the board is keen to arrange bilateral series for Pakistan team and is exploring different options.

"We want to benefit from the September-October window that has been created due to the postponement of T20 World Cup and Asia Cup. Currently, we are talking to various boards behind the scenes as Pakistan team will have a lot of time now. We are waiting for the situation to get better as this is not the time to take quick decisions," said Wasim.

"Other countries will also evaluate the situation in Pakistan before sending their team. It won’t be an easy decision for anyone," he added.

According to the ICC future tour programme, Pakistan is scheduled to tour South Africa for three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals. However, the PCB Chief Executive refrained from confirming the tour just as yet.

"The Covid-19 situation is pretty dire in South Africa as well. Hence, the limited-overs series against South Africa isn’t confirmed yet. We are talking to them on various issues and will arrive at a decision regarding the tour by the end of August," he said.
