Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will lock horns in a crucial encounter for cementing a place in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season seven playoffs.
Both teams are tied with six points each after playing seven matches but Gladiators holds a slight advantage with a better net run rate (NRR).
Zalmi started their campaign strongly against the Gladiators chasing 191 thanks to the heroics of Shoaib Malik and Hussain Talat have lost their touch as the tournament progressed.
Peshawar has failed to show any consistency with the bowl or bat and has continuously changed their playing eleven throughout the tournament failing to find the right combination.
On the other hand, Gladiators have gained momentum ever since Jason Roy joined their team.
Gladiators have chased two back to back 200 plus targets with Roy leading from the front and notable contributions from Sarfaraz Ahmed, Umar Akmal and Iftikhar Ahmed showing the confidence in their dugout.
They lost their last match to Lahore Qalandars but the players are now stepping up and the combination is quite good too.
Both teams desperately need two points as Peshawar has to face Islamabad and Lahore which are in good form and would be a tough competitor.
