Pakistan’s opening batsman Fakhar Zaman has been cleared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s medical panel after receiving his test results which included the coronavirus tests as well.
The 30-year-old has been allowed to depart for his home in Mardan from Lahore. The PCB’s medical team had conducted coronavirus tests, along with many other tests, on the batsman which returned negative.
Fakhar had been excluded from the squad, which has already arrived in New Zealand, after showing signs of a fever. The decision to withdraw Fakhar from the tour was made keeping the health of the rest of the squad members as a top priority.
