Former Zimbabwe captain will take part in the auction as a head coach of new IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants
Multan Sultans head coach Andy Flower has left the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) midway and has travelled to India for the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction.
Former Zimbabwe captain will take part in the auction as a head coach of new IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants.
According to Sultans' media department, Flower will be available virtually and will return to Pakistan on February 13.
Sultans will be without Flower for at least 10 days. He will head Lucknow Super Giants in the mega auction scheduled in Bangalore on February 12 and 13. Travelling to India this early is to form strategies ahead of the auction.
Sultans will face Peshawar Zalmi on February 5 and 10 while they will take on Lahore Qalandars on February 11. Flower will be part of the side before the match against Karachi Kings on February 16.
Mushtaq Ahmed and other coaches will guide the squad in his absence.
Sultans has been playing brilliantly in this year's HBL PSL 7 as they have won four matches out of four and are at the top of the points table.
On the other hand, sources also told that Flower is also among the candidates of becoming new head coach of England men's team.
