The right-hand batsmen scored 33 runs off 29 balls, which included three boundaries, and reached the milestone.

Rizwan, who gained recognition in T20Is after being promoted as an opener in the national team in 2020, has set a new record in PSL by becoming the only player to score over 500 runs in three editions of the tournament.

He had previously scored 500 runs in PSL season 6 and 546 runs in the previous season. This season, he has so far scored 516 runs, making him the highest run-scorer in the ongoing edition of the tournament.

In 2021, the 30-year-old was appointed the team's captain, and Multan Sultans won their maiden PSL title. In the tournament's next edition, Sultans reached the final but lost to Lahore Qalandars, who won their first PSL title.

In the previous season, Sultans beat Qalandars in the qualifier to reach the final, but Qalandars later emerged victorious to lift the trophy.
