The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has disbanded the Cricket Technical Committee due to its inactivity, consolidating its focus on two prominent committees, as shown on the official PCB website.

The retained committees include the Senior-Junior National Selection Committee and the Women's National Selection Committee.

Former Chairman of the Management Committee, Zaka Ashraf, initially established the now-defunct Cricket Technical Committee. However, the committee's lack of activity prompted its dissolution by the PCB.

It is worth noting that the former cricketer Mohammad Hafeez decided to step down from the committee, citing the disregard for his recommendations. Furthermore, Misbah-ul-Haq, another member, opted to exit the committee after joining a television show.

Under Ashraf's tenure, the Cricket Technical Committee played a crucial role in advising on significant matters, including changes in team captains and coaching staff.
